Operator first.
Strategist always.

I spent five years running the data and analytics function at Kohl's — full environment ownership, a $15–20M budget, and direct leadership of teams of 20 or more. Teradata, the full BI stack, platform rollouts. Real operator work, with real accountability for outcomes.

I then spent eleven years at IBM as a revenue-carrying leader and technical architect, designing and delivering large-scale platform transformations for Fortune 5 retail clients. That time gave me something most operators never get: a clear view of what works at scale, and what does not, across dozens of organizations simultaneously.

Before that: five years at Metavante and FIS, where I built offshore captive teams and led early production Exadata and Netezza deployments. And before all of it, five years as a United States Marine.

"Truly greenfield is rare. What I am looking for is scope — a platform to build or extend, and a team to lead through the work."

My next role is on the operator side. I ran the data function at Kohl's for five years. I spent eleven years at IBM seeing transformation at Fortune 5 scale from the outside. I am ready to bring both perspectives inside a single organization and build something that lasts.

That might mean starting from scratch. More likely, it means inheriting a foundation with real potential and doing the hard work of extending it — better architecture, stronger team, clearer strategy. Either way, I am looking for an organization in retail, CPG, or an adjacent industry where data and AI are genuinely strategic, not just decorative.
